It's been a pretty interesting year for me. Some of you have been along for the ride, others may have followed along with the bits and pieces I leave in my wake. I appreciate many of you more than I let on, and I'd hate to think of what kind of person I would be today without you, or where I may have ended up.

I think I've accomplished a lot this year, and for those accomplishments I am proud. Unfortunately I did not meet some of the most important goals I had set for myself, and those failures feel like a burden that grows heavier every day. In spite of this, I look forward to this new year with a sense of hopeful optimism, and I hope those burdens bring with them a renewed strength and determination.

I've never been one for new year's resolutions. As I said to someone just a few hours ago, I only resolve to do what comes to me naturally, because that is the only resolution I am sure to keep.

In light of this, I can make but one resolution. It is the resolution I made last year, and the year before, and it has not failed me yet.

I hereby resolve to kick more ass this year than in the year prior, and I'll be damned if I let anything or anyone stand in my way.
